The Herschel Building was named after William Herschel, the man who discovered the planet Uranus!
John Wesley Memorial (think Wesleyans [methodisits]) on the quayside.
Near
this spot
JOHN WESLEY
preached his first
sermon in Newcastle upon Tyne
Sunday, May 30th 1742.
