Sunshine on Grainger Street

Newcastle, UK, grainger st

I went into town on Friday lunchtime with a long list of things to do.  I only had an hour and had to rush everywhere.  But when I started to walk down Grainger Street from Monument I had to stop and get out my camera.  I’m pleased I did – I don’t like to say this too often, but I love this shot.

  1. I agree, it is a fantastic photograph for so many reasons.

  2. Reminds me of Chinatown, remember that pic? I’d copy and paste a link if it was possible on an iPhone. Most excellent shot. I love days/moments like this!

  3. Absolutely beautiful. In Italian we would say “un colpo di genio” – a genius’ stroke, more or less. Well caucht, Beth. Have a nice week. Ciao. Antonella

  4. Thank you all :o ) I’m thinking of getting a print of this! This is the shot Cassandra was talking about – I’d forgotten that one until you said Cassie!

    Glad you all like!

  5. You got a great capture of the sun there. It looks blinding even from my laptop :)

  6. It was difficult walking down Grainger Street into that sunlight – but worth it :)

  7. Absolutely Brill, love the texture of the wet pavement.
    And a perfect Blue Sky.

  8. Thank you MarkW and Andrew! :o )
