Queen Elizabeth II Metro Bridge
This is a pic taken coming out of the Metro tunnel in Gateshead, about to cross the Tyne to Newcastle. The bridge is the QE II Metro Bridge.
I didn’t mean to start a week of Tyne crossings (and South to North Tyne crossings at that!). Hmmm. I’ll see what other Tyne crossing pictures I have… although I may already have exhausted my supply.
I would love to see all the bridges with their names.
I agree – lets have shots of EVERY Tyne crossing! I’ll supply one of the Shields Ferry!
grrr cannot find my old picture of Wylam Bridge, but then thought – you daft thing – is Newcastle-Gateshead crossing. And I like Cassandra’s week, which I have just got around to looking at. Catch up day today.

There is no way I’m going to do EVERY tyne crossing. It’s a very long river
