It looks very festive again this year but when did polar bears start muscling in on Christmas? I have received several cards featuring them and two houses on my street have included them in their outside Christmas displays.

Who knew Polar Bears celebrated Christmas?
With Polar Bears on the threatened animal list, it is a nice opportunity to remind people of their endangered plight in our near future.

I think polar bears might have been muscling in on Christmas for quite some time! Not too sure about a Christmas dragon though Mrs K, that might be going a bit far….
The site was launched way back in February 2006 and, apart from a few 'sick' days here and there it has provided a daily snapshot of life in the great city of Newcastle upon Tyne
