This is the last winter pic, unless the snow returns.
See the icicles hanging from that gutter? I’ve never seen icicles in years before this winter. That day, they were everywhere.
These are near Four Lane Ends.

My oldest granddaughter is 24 and she can’t remember ever seeing an icicle before this year. She was fascinated by them. In days gone by, before loft insulation we used to have dodge them falling from the roofs (rooves) along with the snow.
There was a really large one hanging above our front door. We couldn’t dislodge it and I was really scared it was going to fall on someone’s head. I heard it fall in the middle of the night and it was terrifying. If it had hit someone it would easily have killed them.
Somewhere my mum has pics of my middle sis and I eating icicles in, I think, 1984 or 1985.
They’re great…
I had some from my window and gutter too that were pretty impressive… my daughter is 13 and she hadn’t seen any before either!
