Great picture. Just last week we were also driving west on the A69 over to the Lakes, but were diverted up onto the Military Road because of an accident.
Having spent the holidays in Newcastle I must say the weather has been unusual to say the least. On New Years day we were snowbound at Newcastle airport for about 8 hours and missed our London-Toronto flight. Eventually made it back – where we still have very little snow, but plenty of cold!
Beautiful picture, Beth, I am glad you reassured us that you weren’t driving and taking pictures at the same time. I gather the A69 was a bit hairy yesterday and I suspect the scene will look much the same today as the temperature hasn’t risen much above zero.
The site was launched way back in February 2006 and, apart from a few 'sick' days here and there it has provided a daily snapshot of life in the great city of Newcastle upon Tyne

Another *WOW* picture, Beth.
Breath- takingly beautiful and what a lovely day…blue sky and all.
Snow looks so lovely when you don’t have to shovel it!
Let me take this opportunity to wish you *especially*, and all your faithful followers a wonderful year to come.
