Travelling along the Coast Road on Wednesday night, the rising full moon was so large and so low, it looked like we would reach it if we kept driving. This is the best picture I could get at 60 mph through a car windscreen (my husband was driving!!) – but it gives you a good idea of just how large it was.
Complete with kittiwake. Taken a couple of weeks ago when we were at the Quayside Market. It was a gorgeous day.
I liked how this street sign seemed to be the same height as Earl Grey, so I stopped to take a quick snap.
I’m really sorry for the unannounced break. I was extremely tired last week and kept meaning to post every day but just didn’t have the energy by the time I got in from work. I hope this picture of the Sage in the sparkling January sunshine makes up for it?
We now have a Hotel Chocolat in Newcastle. It’s expensive, but the chocolate is goooood
Just time for one last Christmas photo as today is the Epiphany. This was taken from just in front of Monument, looking down Grainger Street. I hope you enjoyed Christmas and the New Year.
Well, by dusk. Took this just as it was getting dark on Sunday. The Christmas window is still there. Isn’t it an impressive building? I rarely remember.
Someone asked a week or so back about whether Monument was lit up this year and I said no. I was wrong!!!!!
There are usually quite a few people out holding signs like this on the streets of Newcastle, but I felt particularly sorry for this one, out as he was in the driving snow. Poor guy.
