Chimney
I wandered past Blackfriars the other day and spotted this chimney which I really like. I’d love to live here, even though I’m sure it’d be pretty noisy.
A brief History of…
The site was launched way back in February 2006 and, apart from a few 'sick' days here and there it has provided a daily snapshot of life in the great city of Newcastle upon Tyne-

It’s nice to see a good “old fashioned” chimney stack it certainly beats the grey plastic central heating ducts that appear on most modern houses.

erm, actually my comment above was meant to be posted re: yesterday’s blaze picture. browser malfunction. anyway, lovely picture, it brings back great memories of blackfriars. that used to be my very favourite spot. i remember it being very calm – isn’t that the case any more due to eldon square reconstruction?
