Shark
Saw this shark on the Quayside when we were there for the market and it made me smile.
A brief History of…
The site was launched way back in February 2006 and, apart from a few 'sick' days here and there it has provided a daily snapshot of life in the great city of Newcastle upon Tyne-

glad to see your back in business ! Does the chippie serve shark I wonder ? here in Australia it is quite popular (called “Flake” though ) . Use to have Cod and Haddock in Newcastle when I was a lad (many years ago)

I can see it’s a chippy but whereabouts on the Quayside? He’s good isn’t he?!
Made me laugh too – I hadn’t noticed it until I followed a couple with a small girl in a buggy who started shouting “Stop!! Shark!! Shark! Shark! ” from about twenty feet away – took us a while to realise it wasn’t the Tyne she was pointing towards …..

It’s the chippy down the side of “Flynns”
