Pink Lane
As you walk down Forth lane, you very soon come to Pink Lane.Look right and you will see….well you will find out tomorrow. Look left and you will see the Forth pub(with the tree on the wall) and various buildings that house accommodation and offices. At the very bottom of the street you can just make out a Greggs and opposite that(you cant see) is a Subway shop too. Over the road you can just make out the front of Central Station. The gentleman in the shot was quite funny. He stopped so he wouldn’t be in the shot but I made sure he was. I thanked him and he wandered off shouting “I didn’t want to ruin your picture”! You didn’t sir.

Lovely photograph as usual – up to the high standard of yourself, Beth and Cassandra.
Typical Geordie remark also, always thinking we are going to spoil something for someone and he has a lovely wll lived in face.
He absolutely made the picture!
Yes it would have been an ordinary picture of a nice street but for your cheeky chappy. I have heard many stories similar to Mrs. K’s yesterday but I must admit I frequented a coffee bar in that six storey building at the bottom of Pink Lane in my teens and never noticed anything untoward. Perhaps I was just too naive to know what was going on. The cafe was called Guys and Dolls and it was one of the few places we could go to meet girls before we were 18 and old enough to drink. The rules were much stricter in those days and underage drinking was very difficult although not impossible.
When I saw this pic I thought ‘I bet that guy has stopped to let Chris take the picture’. Glad to know I was right
