Tenin-esque Tuesday.

Another Tenin-esque shot. I’m quite liking trying them out again. Thinking of starting Tenin Tuesdays as at least an occasional thing. Should really start posting the eyesore pics I’ve been promising too!

  1. YEP, I can see where you are coming from … A manhole? You do get a lot closer to the discarded detritus of 21st century living. Whenever I see a girl with UGG boots I wonder if they are the real ones or the raccoon dog cheap and very nasty alternative…. see web if you are unsure what I mean.
Personally I struggle with the idea of off kilter photography, just cannot get my head round round the concept. Paul at Leeds in Yorkshire daily photography

  2. Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I’ve never heard of Teninism, and if this is an example, I’m not going to google it either.

  3. I don’t understand Modern Art either.

  4. I love it. After several minutes of turning my head and getting a stiff neck and several more turning my laptop without it sliding off my knee I finally worked out where it is. I can’t see anything wrong in challenging the conventional view of things. I still think your finest Tenin-esque moment was the Blue Carpet though this runs it close.

  5. It’s not *that* bad is it?! :)
Eric Tenin is the founder of Paris Daily Photo, the original city daily photo site. He likes to mix it up and take shots at odd angles, from above or below, that kind of thing.

  6. Funny, I wouldn’t call it modern art… but then I don’t think of my photography as art at all, which I guess it kind of is, really…. Hmm! Will have to have a think :)

  7. I’m glad you like it Alf, I was starting to get a bit sad! :) This is the one of the Blue Carpet: http://newcastleupontynedailyphoto.com/index.php/2010/06/29/the-blue-carpet/

  8. No, it isn’t that bad – it just isn’t to my taste and I saw an opportunity for a witticism.

I’ve now seen your carpet photo, so I get the idea, but I’m too old and set in my ways.

  9. Just got slightly oversensitive – never posted a pic that got three ‘don’t really like this’ comments before :)

  10. Really love it.

  11. Beth, your photos are art and as such you must please yourself what you take.

Just because one does not understand it does not mean its wrong. And if its right in your eyes, its right.

  12. Meant to add, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
