June 25, 2006 - Wood Art.

Staying near the industrial side of the Quay,these appeared during the tall ships event last summer(they may have been here longer but I never saw them until then). I have never been able to find out what they are but I’m pretty sure it’s wood from old boats. Anyway I think it looks great.

June 24, 2006 - Tank!!

Although Newcastle Quayside is now a hub of entertainment there is still some of the old industry there,including this scrap yard with this fantastic tank welcoming(?) people to this yard.

This was taken underneath Swan House roundabout and the actual building wasn’t in use anymore so I guess it was ok!
