I had never seen this view of the Tyne until a few days ago and when I drove past I had to stop and take a photo. First time I have been able to show both banks of the Tyne. Gateshead is on the left, Newcastle on the right.

wonderful photo - thanks for sharing the view …
Really nice shot. You’re right - you rarely see shots like this.
A great photo. The effect of the three “arches” gives such a sense of balence.
Nice one!
Ade, you are so funny!
Hello from hot humid sizzling Chicago:
We have something similar to your Gateshead. Ours is offically named ” Cloud Gate,” but no one refers to it as such. Someone called it the bean, because indeed that is exactly what it reminds you of when you see it from a distance. The neat thing about it is that not only does it reflect the skyline of Chicago, but when you walk under it, it reflects everyone walking under it looking up. I lay on the ground with a wide angle and a fisheye lens and got great shots.
Peace
Steve
This is my favourite view in Newcastle! Top of Welbeck Road in Walker and across the
roundabout.
My father, born at this location (Gateshead) told me of the bridge. Never been there. Think of the spot often. Thanks for such a grand shot!
