Well hats off to yesterday’s joint winners of the caption competition, free drinks all night from Chris, for Heva & Apple. I wish I’d spent more time at the English lessons and less at the Pool Hall, but so it goes.
On to today’s little teaser. I have great memories of Newcastle’s Biker Bars, no jokes about Byker please, but I don’t remember this one. The iron horses outside ain’t the best I’ve seen, but time catches up with all of us.
I see that my old tattoo artist now does sign writing. The cow’s head looks spookily like the supposed Ram on my arm, and the accidental “a” instead of an “o” is characteristic of good old John. How many r’s in FREEBIRD Three apparently, anyone know a good plastic surgeon?!
Keep up the good work Chris - encouraging people to look up rather than straight ahead.
I can vouch for the food at the Barn restaurants - the food is great and the service is excellent too. Good news Ad - in addition the the biker bars, Chris has also found a biker restaurant. It all seems very civilised as they queue patiently to enter via the door on the first floor.
A’s Ad will’ confirm, I think the the bikes have heard there’s a ‘chain’ of Barn restaurants. Yikes, I’d best put the ‘brakes’ on these ‘wheely’ poor jokes, as I think I’m ‘peddling’ in the wrong direction - ’steering’ into trouble even! Ouch.
Here in Stavanger, barn means child / children :) Nice capture.
