about Malmaison Hotel. ... posted by Chris
Yes, they really have done great work over the past ten years or so on the Quayside. The Malmaison was spectacular last year when they launched fireworks from the roof at the Tall Ships Race.
Stayed here a few times, the hotel that is, not in front of my computer. Well I’ve stayed here too, but that was not the point I was trying to make.
Reminds me of the occasion I arrived at the hotel late, rang the bell, and when the night porter came to greet me as I stood outside in the cold, I asked,
“Could I stay here for the night?”
‘Of course you can sir”, came the reply, as he closed the door, and left me there!
A great building as you rightly point out Chris H. A great name too, easy to remember when giving instructions to the taxi driver on your return from the wine tasting evening.
Ann isometric delight! A great shot Chris!
This structure certainly is in superb condition. Lovely.
