In honour of the leap year (that once-every-four-years’ weirdness when we get an extra day in February) I’m changing it up a bit today and posting a bit of audio. It comes attached to a rather bumpy video of Grainger Street. The audio is the sound of the bells of St. John the Baptist church. Enjoy!
Was this a crap idea? Should I never do this again?

well i enjoyed it anyway, please do more video clips!
It’s a good idea, a change is as good as a rest, as we say!
I went to the radio rally in Grainger Market today, Waywood gallery was there also…
I see your photograph is on all the Waywood gallery fliers that are being handed out to advertise the slo-tv!
It’s the portrait shot on your flickr site. It’s printed on hundreds of flyers… your famous!
Mike.
What the hell…?I thought I had managed to hide far enough from that sound! It makes me mad!I used to yell at it angrily :D
I suppose now people from Newcastle think that we Spaniards are crazy :D
I like the vid - although I’m curious as to why the bus numbers are flickering like they don’t normally, and I would prefer less bumpy next time :)
Ly - not crazy, but I am crazy-curious as to whether you mean hide from the sound of the bells, and just why it winds you up so much :)
Kate - Will do!
Mike - Good eye! That’s weird that i’m recognisable! Kinda creepy! I might have to start wearing large sunglasses! You know who I am, now who are you?
Ly - I live with a Spaniard. She’s crazy! But in a good way!
B - You know when you take video of a computer monitor and it does that flashy-liney thing? I imagine it flickers because of that.
Fantastic to hear these bells, it sounds really english. Can we hear the Nicholas church next time? Greetings from Amsterdam, we have bells too, and a Nicholas church :-)
