  It’s a Penfold pillar box - the standard model that was current between 1866-1879. I only know this nerdy sort of thing because my ex-husband passed his photography O Level exam with a black and white photograph of that very postbox.

  Beth, I know that! My fiance slipped on ice the other day on his way to the Metro! It’s all looking so beautiful, though, and I’d never had a winter Christmas in my life! We are always roasting ourselves over here! Besides that, I just wish I were there, I miss looking out my window and seeing the Man with the Cats and his cats on lieges walking over the fences, or the Ginger cat sleeping on the roof. Of course, they are probably not doing that at the moment with all that snow! lol I’d looooooove to see St. Mary’s Lighthouse in the snow as well!

I really like Newcastle, it’s a very nice place to live. I’ve always dreamt of living by the sea, but never thought I’d be to move anywhere near the sea over here…and then my fiance came along all the way from Newcastle! :D Maybe I’ll leave by the sea some day! =)
