I’ve featured this building various times before, but never focussing on the top. It looks like something Hansel and Gretel would find while wandering through the woods, to me, and I never fail to be surprised when I crane my neck to see it more clearly.

I’ve posted Jesmond Road West before, but only just noticed the plaque below.
When I googled John Dobson Carlton Terrace, I found various links I think are worth checking out.
If you have the best part of a million to spare, how about this house?

This is the back of the library. It’s where the main entrance used to be.
The square has been improved considerably. The holes where the trees and bushes used to grow through have been filled in and it’s got seating outside for the cafe. A lot more pleasant than it used to be.
