I have a few pictures of Wallsend I wanted to post, so I thought a Wallsend long weekend might be in order.
This funeral parlour caught my eye… I think I’ve seen a picture of it posted somewhere before, but unfortunately I can’t remember where to credit it. If you know please let me know!
I thought I had seen this shop before but I think I might be confusing it with one in North Shields which has a similar display. It was featured by “This too will pass” about a year ago.

Who would think coffin’s displayed in a shop window could make you laugh…such a great name for this store! Love the Union Jack…it makes quite a statement. Thanks, Beth for the smile :)
Hilarious! I remember a picture of a guitar-shaped coffin in a newspaper years ago, but I never thought these things were actually on sale. Great name.
Hi Beth. I came looking for a Newcastle photo and ran across the ‘go as you please’. You may have seen something about this on my blog where the same coffins were in The Coffin Shop in North Shields. The business isn’t there any more, so perhaps they’ve moved to Wallsend? Hope you are well. S
i thought it was This Too Shall Pass too alf but can’t find it - it was def in Wallsend, the pic I saw.
