Another Tenin-esque photo today - this time because it seemed to suit the subject matter. I was walking up Grainger Street yesterday when I spotted this wrapped-up bus stop, so I stopped to take a picture.
In related news, while walking up Northumberland Street, I saw adverts in the pavement for Newcastle Science Festival.
This is where those two things come together. I just wish the light had been a little better.
This pic is also an interesting exercise in perspective - notice how the traffic light seems taller than Grey’s Monument?

Guerilla knitting! Don’t you just love the crazy things going on in the Toon?
Traffic lights vs Grey is a cool detail, Beth, thanks for pointing it out!

I am liking this Tenin Technique more and more- terrific perspective, Beth….the camera seems to be nearly on the ground as you view up the entire street. You could really have fun with this perspective thing. The knitting link-what a fun community project…this will be a wonderful opportunity for some interesting pictures.
I agree with Daniel and Ash it is a great picture. As for the geurrilla knitting, apparently it is already out there. Les Bessant has this picture on flickr:

For those of you who don’t know it Les is a keen photographer and has a website:

I may have to try this Tenin technique as well. Cos I only really use second hand cameras I’ve never been too bothered about putting them on the floor or hanging them off the side of the cathedral.
glad you all like it!
