Bit of a competition today. Does anyone know where this coat of arms can be found?
It’s pretty well hidden. I’ll be impressed if anyone can find it! If noone has any ideas, I’ll post a hint about lunchtime or early afternoon.

Oops - went out and didn’t leave a clue as promised! Clue - it’s on Northumberland Street…..
any guesses???
I did try to put a comment on here this afternoon but I am pleased it didn’t work because my guess was way out and to spare my embarrassment I will not repeat it. I haven’t got a clue whereabouts on Northumberland Street it is. You did a good job of hiding any clues with the close up. I thought deciphering the Latin motto might help but “aquerou” is not a Latin word and I think it may be the name of a ancient river god which doesn’t help at all. I have asked some of my knowledgeable friends and they haven’t a clue either. You have stumped us all.
to be honest i wasn’t trying to flummox people - but if i take a pic from any further away it’s too dark to see the coat of arms! and it’s such a shame……
won’t say any more - tomorrow’s post will be here very soon and all will be revealed! :)
is it on the bit between M+s and the pub noone knows is there? like, over the pub door?
i took some more pics of all that the other day, but no :)
Congratulations for this shoot !
As I’m french I think “Aquerou” means the french verb “Acquérir” = To obtain
Please can you try to discover the story behind this building/Crest in Newcastle downtown ? Many Thanks.
