I’m really, really exhausted at the mo, and although I have lots of pics, I just don’t have the energy to sort through at post right now.
I’ve asked Cassandra if she can post this week but I think she might be away as she hasn’t responded. If she doesn’t post, I’ll hopefully be back at the end of the week. Otherwise - see you next week!
(And well done to Newcastle. We’ll be playing in the Premiership again next season :))

A few months ago now, I posted a pic of the clock at the corner of Northumberland Street, Pilgrim Street, Blackett Street and New Bridge Street West. And in the comments, regular commenters spoke about the clock’s twin on Westgate Road. And I thought they were dreaming.
Then one night I went to the O2 Academy, and realised that I’d seen the clock they were talking about many a time.
Shhh - don’t tell anyone - but sometimes I’m not very observant….

This is the O2 Academy these days. It was previously the Carling Academy, but before that it was a bingo hall, and, I believe, a dance hall… Mrs K? Alf?
Sorry it’s so late - I thought I had a post set up for today - apparently not!

This square is between Clayton Street and Stowell Street (the main street of Chinatown). It always seems peaceful, even though it’s right in the centre of town. But I might just have been there in those rare moments when things are quiet :)
