What an unusual angle, I really like that and I can see the Tyne Bridge in the background too. I wonder how long before the Get Carter car park finally disappears. Thompsons have loads of demolition equipment on site now and they have hoisted a huge banner on the side of the building so I guess it must be imminent.

The concensus is that the various buildings around ‘Paris texas’ and ‘Luckies’ have been acquired by Wetherspoons, and that they may be going to combine them all into a very large Wetherspoons Pub!
LOVE IT! The recent paint job the HL Bridge has had, returns it to it’s original colour.
…so the nice lady at the Stephenson Museum told me!
There was a great rumour / urban myth going ’round that Michael Caine was going to come up here and press the button to explode the Carter car park - wouldn’t that have been great?!
