While B is away this week, we’re taking a trip to the sea!
One of my top spots in the North East is the Tynemouth Priory. This first shot is the main section of the priory whose founding dates to the 7th century.

This second shot is what you see if you turn directly around from where the above photo was taken. Here you can see the Tynemouth Lighthouse.

I love the top photo. Very ominous lighting. Of course, I won’t be able to sleep tonight . . .
These are really lovely photo’s, Cassandra.
The first one does look a bit spooky with the gravestones, the ruins and the menacing sky. It would make a great setting for a horror film.
Trust me, I just love the thistles and think of the bees.
Meant to add, please Cassandra just one this week of your place.
Sure Mrs K! Maybe I’ll finangle another few days out out B and give her an extended break? I could do another week comparing Newcastle to Michigan.
Thanks for your lovely messages all!
go for it cass - just let me know when you want me to start posting again ;)
I looooooooove the Priory! The stunning view, people having fish and chips, bringing sandwiches and having a picnic, kids rolling down the slopes…one of my favourite places in the world!
